Highlights from the 2022 Graduation Ball
CIPD Successes at Milestone Graduation Ball
Northern Ireland’s largest Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) Centre, DMS Ireland, hosted the 2024 Graduation Ball on Friday 21st June at the Stormont Hotel Belfast at which 59 individuals were recognised in successfully completing their professionally accredited qualifications in Human Resources and Learning & Development.
Lynn Carson, Managing Director of DMS Ireland addressed the Stormont Hotel audience: “We are thrilled to see so many professionals attend the graduation ball who have travelled from all over the UK and Ireland. Indeed for some this is the first time we have met in person as covid has changed the way we all work now and manage our time.”
In total, over 130 individuals completed their CIPD qualifications with DMS Ireland in the past 18 months at Foundation, Associate and Advanced Levels. As a centre offering all three levels, DMS Ireland can provide continued progression support for those advancing in their careers and goals.
Lynn continued, “This is an extra special year for DMS as we mark our 25th anniversary as CIPD centre and it fitting that some professionals who completed their programmes with us in the early years are also here to celebrate.
Peter Cheese, Chief Executive of CIPD and Mary Connaughton, Director of CIPD Ireland attended the milestone Graduation.
Peter Wallace, Managing Director of Conexia, explains their decision to partner with DMS Ireland on this years’ awards. “We are delighted to be Principal Sponsor for the 2024 DMS Ireland Graduation Ball. Having been part of the local HR community for many years we recognise the value of supporting our employees with their HR skill development. Over 40 Conexia colleagues have successfully gained their CIPD qualification through DMS Ireland, ranging from Foundation Level 3 through to Advanced level 7, and in some cases multiple levels over the years. Following our divestment from Capita last year, we have undergone our own HR transformation programme which tested those very skills in real life! Combined with the 25th anniversary of DMS Ireland being an accredited provider of CIPD courses it felt like an opportune moment to reflect and celebrate those achievements as the Principal Sponsor.”
It was an extra special evening for Andrea Gallo, winner of the DMS Ireland Candidate of the Year 2024. Andrea completed the CIPD Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning & Development Maxwell. Andrea commented: “I was surprised to learn that I was chosen to be the DMS Candidate of the Year 2024. It is an astounding achievement which I will treasure for the rest of my live as it testifies my dedication and professional growth.”
