Workplus is the 2022 Graduation Ball Principal Sponsor

Workplus, Northern Ireland’s leading apprenticeship firm, is the DMS Ireland Graduation Ball Principal Sponsor for 2022.

Workplus exists to grow the culture of apprenticeships. It makes it easier for employers and aspiring apprentices to connect by providing a platform for applicants to apply, as well as offering a straight-forward, thorough selection process for employers. It is also a network where member companies collaborate, share ideas and best practice.

Workplus is currently working with over 60 companies in Northern Ireland across various sectors, from fast-growing SMEs to large multi-nationals.

Richard Kirk, CEO of Workplus, said, “We are very pleased to be sponsoring this year’s DMS Graduation Ball. DMS and Workplus share a passion to see individuals succeed and thrive in their careers. At Workplus, we do that through connecting aspiring apprentices and employers. We are currently working with over 60 companies in Northern Ireland and appreciate the crucial role HR professionals play in nurturing and mentoring apprentices, growing opportunities and helping companies catch the vision for apprenticeships. It is therefore a real pleasure to support this event celebrating the achievements of HR professionals across Northern Ireland.”

Workplus was started to help companies build talent through apprenticeships.  The company’s unique platform provides a single point where aspiring apprentices can apply to multiple apprenticeship opportunities and take an aptitude test.  This data-rich process helps employers find the apprentice that is best suited to their role.

Workplus runs two apprentice recruitment campaigns each year. The next campaign takes place in August to coincide with exam results. Companies interested in becoming part of that campaign should contact Workplus before 10th July.

Richard Kirk recently spoke at the CIPD Northern Ireland Conference at a panel discussion regarding career options for young people. He said, “It was great to be part of the recent CIPD conference during which the subject of apprenticeships featured strongly. An increasing number of companies are embracing apprenticeships and seeing their many benefits including retention and enriching company culture. There is a real breadth of apprenticeship pathways available, and we are seeing a growing interest in the less traditional ones such as business admin and software development.”

Lynn Carson, Managing Director of DMS Ireland added: “We are delighted that Workplus is headlining as Principal sponsor this year.  Apprenticeships present a unique opportunity to organisations thinking of other pathways to recruit talent, to retain talent, to engage talent and I highly recommend HR professionals to get in touch with Workplus and find out how the team can help with their resourcing and talent strategy.”
